Do you know what is social media policy and how importance it is?

Social media policy is a guideline that been provided by organization to employees, whom take charge in organization's social media domain.
                                 
As we are now living in technological era, everything go easy with an internet. Same as organization, which most of the organization are having their own official Facebook, Twitter or even Instagram account which to maintain relationship between organization and their consumer.

 Therefore, is a must for organization to develop social media policy in order to create a best relationship and keep interaction with their consumer.

Examples

For examples, TicketCharge, one of the pioneering ticketing companies in Malaysia , who did such a good job in manage their own social media site. They update information frequently, greet in every public holidays and festival and always reply comment and feedback in 24 hours as in very polite way no matter how nonsense is the question are.                                                

From this, i can assume that they must have a great, proper and professional social media policy to guide employees in handling social media, in order to maintain best relationship with customer or to attract more people on their organization.

Not only for maintain relationship, social media policy can also build up an organization reputation sometimes might generate consumer brand loyalty.Take Dell for example, a recent report claims that Twitter has make DELL 1 million in revenue over the past year and a half.

 As we know that, building reputation for company is hard, but losing company reputation can just be in 1 minute. The worst example Amy's Baking Company & Pizzeria , A.B.C., an upscale full service Retail Patisserie.

 I do not know what actually happen by reading their Facebook page, but the reply status write by the company is totally wrong which also include some negative words in their status. I do not know how long-lasting will this company be, but i guess their Facebook page will be disappear maybe within few months.

After my explanation, can you see how importance for an organization to have social media policy?  If you ready to start business  online, better for you to have a social media policy in order to maintain your business.

Going Viral!

What is viral?

=> Viral is "something" that becomes popular through a viral process of Internet sharing, typically through video sharing websites, social media and email.

How to estimate "something" that goes viral?

Today, I'm going to show a video which going viral in Youtube. This is the views of the video, 11,777,864, which gain 76,297 likes, 16,963 comments.

This video is about a pair of senior who learn how to use their new laptop. Originally, they wanted to take a photo with laptop, however, they do not realize that they're videoing.

There are some reasons make this video goes viral. Firstly, it is funny. It make audiences laugh while they do not realize the laptop is videoing both of them, and their behavior is funny, especially the husband. Thus, their lovely interaction with each other influence audiences that getting married is also a blissful choice. Some of the audiences commented, "this is great. they were  probably together for 40 years and still enjoy the time like kids. i hope i will have such a relationship one day.", "this will be me and my husband" and so on.

Public Relations Executive

Public relations executive will use a wide range of media to build and sustain good relationships between the employing organisation and its client throughplanned publicity campaigns and PR activities.

Social Media Executive

Social media executive is someone whose main duties include the creation of content that drives the brand and engages customers, the live coverage of various events. From time to time, directly have conversations with customers on our various social media pages.

Webmaster

Webmaster is a person who manages the computer server and technical programming aspects of a Web site, sometimes might have to create and manages the information content (words and pictures) and organization of a Website too.

Bases on the description above, let’s me link them together for you!

Public relations executive is the one who decide what topic should be written or included, thus, assign the topic to social media executive to create the content which can generate public interesting and focuses. After all, webmaster is the person who manage the websites to make sure that  the server is in functioned, and solve the “404 error” while it happen.

Hope that you know how hard for a company to manage their social media sites and how much effort did the executive spend?

As we know that, we all live in a modern age of technology. The most obvious phenomena was the rapid increasing of smart phone user.

Let's we recall our memory now! When do you get your first smartphone in your life? For me , when I'm 14. But nowadays, owning a smartphone has become a necessity in our life, no matter what age you are.

When I'm in primary school, i was using letter to stay connected with my cousin who lived in Kelatan. Our relations was closer than ever.

In secondary school, i owned a smartphone and started emailing, massaging with my cousin. Not so longer, Facebook, Whatapps and more application are available, i used to chat with them everyday. However, it seems like something missing between us. I lack of expectation and excitement on them coming to meet me. I feel like we meet everyday.

Smartphone let us easily connect with everyone, but also create social problem such as we‘re afraid to communicate with people face-to-face while they had practicing to talk with using smart-phone.
