A very sad thing that I'm going to announce, this is my last post because my assignment is going to end soon. However, you can still follow my others blog, which recorded my life.
Well, get to the main point.
Today gonna write something about new media, as you can see the topic at the beginning "New Media Issue".
We know that new media brings a lot of convenience in our life, however, it actually bring much issues which can affect our life. There is total 13 issue are found by using new media, but I'm going to explain one issue during this blog, which is buying follower, which under credibility issue.
Buying follower as also called as a dirty business. Why has it been named? Because while you think a blogger who has a million follower, you will think about because of their works, therefore they gain it. However, when the truth is most or all of the follower is bought by them, as a follower, we will feel like we are cheated, we been played like a fool.
Why do people buy follower?
I. A person to buy follower is to gain popularity, thus, become a celebrity. They enjoy the focuses from the public, therefore they do it. Some of them might because of money. As I know, while your viewer in youtube reaches certain amount, youtube company will bank you money.
II. The company buys follower is to increase their reputation, therefore, increase their profit, in the other hand increase the company level in the country.
III. Obviously, the online shop is for increasing their sales. Online shop becomes very famous now because people nowadays like to shop online than go to shopping mall, save time, save cost or cheaper price, a variety of reason that make people like to do online shopping. However, if you are a new online shop, you may have to use about 1 to 2 years to gain your popularity, thus you just started get your sales. Therefore, buying follower is the fastest way to make them earn more.
Why buying follower is not being encourages or can say it is prohibited?
I. It sends out a message that your are desperate, inauthentic when you paid for followers and you really don’t get the point of social media.
II.These followers not potential leads or customers. They don't share or link your content. Think of these social media accounts as robots doing the same thing for everybody.
IV. Buying fake Twitter followers, while definitely a rush at first, ultimately hurts your brand identity in the long run because you probably don’t know what kinds of followers.
Buying followers is not the best way for a person or a company to get the benefit. It might help you to reach your target in a short minute, but it can also ruin your business in a short minute. Therefore, think about it before you decide to do the action. Do you want your business works long-lasting?
